New York based Bhangra newcomer Manik has teamed up with Bikram Singh on his single "Roots." Taking a different route to his music, Manik is categorizing "Roots" as an experimental, educational, and inspirational song.
"Roots," as the title suggests, tells the story of a Desi kid raised in New York facing difficulties trying to fit in. The song is a nod to all those who have struggled to give the next generation a better life.
Manik has been performing locally for a few years now. Having worked with the likes of DJ Sharad, Manik is using his experience to launch his solo career.
